Learning a language is not just a skill — it’s a bridge to connect with people, culture, and opportunities, especially when living or working in a place where the native language dominates.
I started learning Hindi from scratch, and today, I can proudly say I’m improving every day — making mistakes, learning from them, and even practicing at my workplace.
When I began, I struggled to form even a single sentence in Hindi. Now, I can understand conversations and have simple exchanges with my colleagues. That progress feels deeply rewarding.
One of the biggest factors behind my growth has been Duolingo. It helped me build a habit of daily learning and instilled consistency in my journey. I am thrilled to share that I’ve maintained this discipline for 113 days so far — a milestone that feels empowering.
The most exciting moment? Reaching the Diamond League in Duolingo. It wasn’t my mission at first, but consistent progress brought me here. This taught me a valuable lesson: Aim for what challenges you the most. Growth happens when you step out of your comfort zone.
My advice to anyone learning something new:
1.Take risks. If you fail, learn.
2.If you succeed, stay humble.
3.Mentor others. Growth multiplies when you help others grow.
Language learning is more than words — it’s a journey of patience, persistence, and self-transformation. My journey has just begun, and I’m excited for the road ahead.
