How to end sorrow?

Sorrow, what will happen after your sorrow phase? 

We actually try not to hurt ourself again, aviod people and the trust on others will be less. Do you ever think why did this happen, coz sorrow leads ourself bad and as we are emotional being we outburst and sense everything went wrong, so to perceive, to see, to understand is more important and we can end sorrow after we know or understand ourself. But understand oneself is really hard because of lot extreme like good bad, god devil, etc....
