Is Travel a Therapy?
Travel, Therapy, what you mean? Some of them will have a question.
Yes, Travelling is a Therapy. I would say you don't need to travel the world right now but for me travelling to a local park, beach or even wandering into the woods (MCC) is a therapy.
Why am I relating therapy with travel?
As you think, travel (just take a bus to new city or unknow or know place) would give you a peace of mind when you look around new places, your mind unconsciously getting relaxed, for an instance when you are going to a new place in a car you will be watching every aspect of that new place, and you feel the journey was very long, but while returning back to your house you would feel the journey was short. This shows how enthusiastic we are when we travel.
Recently I went to Trichy with my senior Souparno Anna, which was a mind-blowing experience for me, because I was really tired of my exam's schedules and other engagements. That trip was planned suddenly, Anna asked me a day before the trip, and we took the bus on Saturday night and came back the very next day.
Trichy was a nice city and the way native people approach us is quite different, they are very polite and approachable. When we were missed our route to Srirangam Temple ( Srirangam is a river island, which is bounded by the Kaveri River on one side and its distributary Kollidam on the other side. Considered as the first among the 108 Divya Desams, a group of Vishnu temples Source: Wikipedia) People help us find the temple and helped us in many ways throughout the journey.
After the visit to the temple we went to the rock fort located nearby. We took public transport and walk throughout the street so that we can connect with native people and their culture and after about 15 minutes of hiking we reached the top and the view (What a amazing view it is, still in my mind) which covers the entire part of the city.
And then we reached the station and return back to the hall.
What the outcome of the trip. The outcome is nothing, it just personal place for you, sometimes you need rest or some nature connection, that part of the time you need to plan a trip which you can afford.
Travelling helps us to heal when we broke.
Travelling leads us to innovate.
Travelling gives us insights.
Travelling makes us to connect.
Travelling makes us to love ourselves.
Maybe you can make a bucket list of places which you want to travel, start with an affordable and the closest one. Take a break when you complete a big task, travel.
