Is courage calling us?

Courage is Calling by Rayn Holiday, such an interesting book, it makes me motivated every day. This blog is about this book and why you need to read this book.

Thanks to Anuj Dwivedi who recommended this book to me, he was my roommate in Letourneau university. On my 1st day of letu university I didn't south hall (which meant for international students) but Anuj and my other friend helped me to get south hall by swapping their roommates, I grateful to have Anuj as my roommate, we not only shared our rooms but also our memories together. I never got a chance to stay with roommates, that was my 1st time. We used to have lot of late-night conversations, midnight maggies, etc... During our last week in the Uni, he gifted me his book "Courage is calling".

Ryan Holiday (born June 16, 1987) is an American marketer, author, businessman and podcaster, notable for marketing Stoic philosophy in the form of books. One of his books is Courage is calling, he shared his thought on the stoic virtues one need to have in his life, like a brave solider ready to face everything with courage as his sword.

This book contains three parts (Fear, courage and the heroic) each part has its unique way of writing, which help me to understand how to handle fear, sharpening my courage and act as a hero in real life. Some of my favorite chapters are focus on what's in front of you, the scariest thing to be is yourself, just start somewhere, just do something, make it a habit, it's good to be difficult and no one is unbreakable.

In every chapter the author makes me to be courage without any fear, handling tough situations and how to be a stoic person. After reading this book, you might get interest in your life, and you can find your purpose of life. He used many real examples from famous persons around the world.

"Let us not wait for other people to come to us and call upon us to do great deeds."

"If we won't answer, who will? If not now, when?"

This book won't be boring, i completed the 1st and 2nd part within 5 days and i took some rest and complete the last part within 2 days. I am just calling you to read this book, answer to this call (This is what the author mentioned prior in this book).

New Terms I learned,

Stoic, a person who can endure pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining.

Nihilism, the rejection of all religious and moral principles, in the belief that life is meaningless.

Megalopsuchia, the greatness of soul.

After words, I recommend you this book because, it has true values and insights which make you think critically, act instantly and make great decision.

"Struggle makes a man strong", yes struggle makes to think from our mistakes and lead us a new way of life.
