Are you Aware of this "One Thing"

     The one thing, it might be simple to think and mostly we thought just a thing what it is going to make and is there anything serious on that thing? 

I ask myself the same question before reading this one book "The One thing" by Gray Keller. A Transformational Book which helped me to ask a question on what my purpose to my life is?  

I started reading book at the age of 18 and now I am 20 so far, I have read 10+ books. I like to read personal development book, psychology, romantic, philosophy, Geopolitics and some articles as well.  When I started this habit, I didn't think that it is going to a life changing habit. Earlier I wasn't consistent it took around 10 months to complete my first book. But Now I can see the progression in my habit, this month I started reading two books 'The Mindset' and 'The One Thing' both are amazing books, both books have some connections. When I start reading the Book Mindset it was battle between two mindsets in our life on a daily basis. I don't want to give the review right now because I am in the middle of the book. 

Let's come to the Book "The One Thing" which has 3 parts. In each part the author portrays the most essentials for a person who don't how what he is doing. In the 1st part he described the 6 lies which we used to believe all days and even now. Some of those were Multitasking, Will power calls the will power, Everything matters Equally, Big is Bad and two more (you read). Once you understand the first part, you understand the plot of the book. Author slowly entering the part by setting the plot were readers feel comfortable to understand.

2nd Part focus on the ways to be productive using the Focus Question, Success Habit and the finding the great answer. Once you read these pages you understand to ask a question on the One thing which leads to way to fix all your dominos in the way so that your life will be easier and more unnecessary. 

3rd part has 6 chapters in which the readers will get the sense of burn to start something and wanted to make it happen. 3'P Purpose, Priority and Productivity leads the way to answer your question on that One Thing. Then you have Three commitments and Four thieves. In these chapters we can understand the importance of the positive and the negative of a new habit and how it affects our progress. Be cautious on these 7 things which probably help you to make your vision more precise.

Finally, my Experience on reading this book, this book was given by Mr. Amit Kumar who is my HR, my dear senior and we had shared the same space but in different timeline #141 Selaiyur Hall (1999and 2025). When I got selected in JINDAL REALTY and after completing all the paperwork, I went to his cabin for the first time, and he gave me the induction program and suggest this book. After around two weeks, I went to his cabin and got a crave on reading that book, so I asked him regarding the book, and he gave me the book with all his wishes. I thought this book will give some insights for my life as I thought it was an amazing book. While reading this book I got the energy and motivation to do something which will help me to address that Question.

  • Understand your purpose of life
  • Schedule your Calendar on doing that one thing every day (Take proper vacation as well)
  • Fix yourself (Health is the Ultimate wealth) 
  • Find yourself
  • Don't Hesitate to Fail (Failure let you the learn)
And many things but Focus on your ONE THING.
