Art of Cooking 🔪

Have you ever wondered why cooking is an art?
How love, emotion and caring take an important role in making the process a great success and satisfaction after cooking a meal for others?

It's been one and a half months in Delhi, and I've started making new habits—especially the habit of cooking for myself at least three times a week, and I am pretty sure that I am doing that. So how did this journey start? When I was a 14-year-old, I came home after my tuition class with a growling sound in my stomach. I thought that my mom might have cooked something for me—hot, tasty, and colourful. Here comes the twist: on that day, mom went to some gathering, and my neighbour told me that she would be late today and said, "If you feel hungry, you can have some food with us."
I was unhappy, and I didn't want to eat at my neighbour's house. So I decided to cook something for myself. I didn't know how to make it, but my hungry stomach and confidence made me try to make some idlis and tomato chutney for my dinner that night.
Once my mom came home, she asked me, "Had your dinner?"
I said, "Mom, I made the dinner."

She was happy. That day marked the beginning of this journey. I started helping my mom in the kitchen after that day—started learning about ingredients, how to temper, how to measure, how to steam, how to make chapatis, how to clean the mess, and finally, how to cook with love and serve it with passion. Soon, new recipes, from India to France, entered my world as I started watching YouTube videos for unique dishes.

Cooking is an art. For instance, let's take BisiBeleBath (I made it today). From the thought process to the finished work, it needs a complete plan with patience. You need to measure how much rice and dal is needed, then decide which vessel would be suitable for this amount of rice, the water level, spices—and the most important secret: LOVE.
Sometimes, new hacks, new methods, and new recipes are born the day you start working with it. Sometimes you fail—no worries. I’ve had some major accidents with pressure cookers, but it never stopped me from learning. It helped me understand the importance of safety and precautionary measures.

Does emotion plays an important role in cooking? Yes it is, As we know cooking is an art - when both the mind and heart moves at a same pace.
When I decide to cook, the first thing that comes to my mind is, "I will be happy if I cook for myself today." The amount of happy hormones that boost me during cooking is unimaginable, because I never feel tired even though I cook a meal for around 2 hours.

Here comes that satisfaction which keeps motivating me to cook every day. It’s not about the fancy recipes or expensive ingredients—it’s always about the love and compassion. And that’s why mom’s dosa is way better than Domino’s Pizza.

Bonus Tips:
You will find a new way of cooking, and soon you learn the three im(P)ortant skills,
1. Patience
2. Problem solving
3. Proactive

Once you start cooking you will realise the importance and value of food and how it makes you healthy and happy.

" The true cook never feels hungry when he cooks for others, he get satisfied when the eaters says Ummm yummy want more!"

Cook. Eat. Share the Love with the world.....
